The Aviary

Starting a new chapter!

A new character, Pytilia, is gracing the cover. I gave her a pretty heavy redesign, considering I first started writing this thing 11 years ago. I really like her new outfit/uniform…The colours are loosely reminiscent of the bird she got her name from, however I had to be pretty picky about where I put the red colouring. I tried giving her a red bowtie and suddenly she looked like Peewee Herman.

I originally wanted her outfit to be light blue, a little nod to the flight attendants in Fifth Element, but then thought how, as a waitress at The Aviary, she wouldn’t be too flashy since she wasn’t the main focus. So grey with a little bit of colour it was.
